Layout Plan as requested by MBMB

In Malaysia before we are able to do sub-divide (sek 135 KTN), partionally (sek 140 KTN) or amalgation (sek 146 KTN). We need to submit the layout plan for state authority appraval.

The format are as above.

1. Location plan
2. Title
3. Owners
4. Table where stated the info
5. Licensed Land Surveyor signature

Discuss the procedure need to be obeyed by a Licensed Land Surveyor (LLS) whom want to take over other LLS work. What kinds of consideration to be loo

According to LLS regulation 1959, under code of ethical.

101 (a) every LLS need to show their dignity, standing and reputation of the profession.
101 (e) LLS are not allowed to take over other LLS work without letter of consent (permission)

Based on this case, there are a few considerations we need to look into before a LLS take over the work.

Client
-LLS need to check why the client refer to you. Is it because of payment problem?
-Request of letter of termination from Client to ensure the client has been terminate the previous LLS.
-Appointment letter is important document because it is a basic of the job.

LLS
a. Request Letter of consent -write to the previous LLS to ask for permission to continue the work


If the previous LLS agree to release the work
We need to check the status of the work progress
If mark have been planted or partially planted. If possible re-survey and remove all the previous mark and re-plant again.
If the mark planted, field book ready and PA preparation no ready. Refer to the certificate to be used in PA. This certificate indicate the field work is done by LLS or other LLS and comply other PA.
If the fee no submitted. Re-submit the fee according to LLS 1959 under 99(1) fee show follow schedule 13 and fully paid to LJT.
Payment to LLS should according to LLS 1959 under 99(4) according to the partial has been carried out by respective LLS. This is to avoid abuse of payment.

If the previous LLS disagree to release the work
We can write in the LJT (Board) and the board can used LLS 1959 under 101 (j) comply to the board with query of work.
Board will used LLS 1959 under 100 ask LLS to surrender all the related document to the board

If the previous LLS disagree the payment
Under LLS 1959, 99(5) if the board fail to handle the case, board will refer to the arbitrator under Act arbitration 1952.
Sek 398A
Chief surveyor (Pengarah Ukur) can used sek 398A issued form 29 to ask LLS to surrender all the document

Erosion at PLUS highway

This is one of the project during month of March 2007. This is bad landslip and the contractor need the cross-section plan before start re-build the erosion part.

The interval requested is every 1m.

The survey is carried out as normal prosidure.

First - datum for the work

Second - details survey for the part where eroded.

Third-use exisitng channel as station for control
