ISO 9001 : 2000

Early of this month, we have accepted an enginering (building line) setting-out work. Details survey has been carried out in the early stage but no even a single cent from the contractor. The following instruction from them was setting out the show house for them. We also fulfill to them cum the pad footing setting out which was no in the quotation specification. We as a profesional company and always give the best solution for the client. In order them(the contractor) to speed out their work, we obeyed their instructions. After 2 weeks, they still no agreed to the quotation as we quoted and replied thecounter proposal with below the survey fees. Last 2 days, they faxed a memo to us to carry out the setting out for others block. Do you think we will go wothout any appointment letter or payment?
We have been facing these kinds of 'dirty' contractor which they want the their work to be carried out and if possible get the cheaper rate to complete their work. The best solution to avoid these 'dirty' contractor to foolish us is implemented ISO 9001 : 2000.
What is ISO 9001 : 2000? This is a documentation control system. Everything is documented and endorsed where this document will be a evidence in future.
In Engineering survey, always looks for an endorsement plan from authority even through the plan has been signed by Engineer or Architect. If the planinvloved of 'funny' design, it is advised that to get the digital copy from them(Engineer or Architect) and counter-check with hardcopy.
Checking is very important for all the points we need to set in the field. We do not want be sued because discrepancy from the setting out. Please bear in mind that do not allow other people take advantage on us. After completed the setting out, joint venture checking with contractor and requested them to sign into the setting plan where they accepted the setting out as a precaution.

e-submit Version 3 (version July 2007)

Past few days I was concentrated on the e-submit program. But the area computed by e-submit was not tally with the CSCS program. In actual, the area should be tally with the e-submit program because I extract the NCP files from e-submit program.

I rang out to JUPEM, HQ and they said that there is another version on July 2007. I have been discussed this issue on it but the officer requested me to try this latest version.

For those still struggle in e-submit program, please kindly share the problem with me. Thank a lot.

Another info I would like to share with you all. Avoid use m correction and start with solar datum to enable the program run smoothly. The trick I learn from the JUPEM officer.

CSCS software

CSCS software is a programme to generate 6 main files to JUPEM and produce the PA. Past few days, I have 2 files rejected byJUPEM due to the graphic can't display in their system.

After I email the data to the supplier of the program. They claim that the Kod dan seksyen must be 3 decimal (000). Error will be appealed if key in 2 decimal.
