Zone in UTM system

When we do transformation Parameters from WGS84 to Transverse Mercator (UTM), we need to ensure collect zone selected. Otherwise we will get wrong coordinate. Be careful, my Penang client.

How to import data xyz into CDS (part 1)

CDS is famous software used by surveyor to produce contour plan. If you have data in x,y & z. Then below step are useful to you.

First, create a new file name

Second, look for import icon

third, select variable Ascii

then, choose "delimited"

Certified Plan Information

According to circular year 3/1996. Text like "SA KI, KI SA, DPI & TP" must omitted in certified plan because it can find in field book.

However, boundary mark like pk, p & etc are compulsary to show except BKL where just noted as circle.

Above chart datum

One of my customer is asking me, what is meaning of above chart datum.

Chart datum is define as the level of water that charted depths displayed on nautical charts are measured from. The chart datum is generally a tidal datum; that is, a datum derived from some phase of the tide. Common chart datums are lowest astronomical tide and mean lower low water.

Is the above chart datum equal to land survey datum?

TNB transmittion

Past few days ago, a senior planter came and requested my help on his land matter. According to him, his boss just newly purchased a few parcel of lands and now they are going to do replanting of oil palm.

However, he noticed that TNB contractor start bulldozed one of the land owned by his boss. He immediate cease the contractor because he understand that there is no acquisition on the said land.

He checked with his lawyer but still can not find the solution. Check at Survey department, certified plan still remain as old parcel and there is no acquisition. So, how to solve it if this customer come to you?

He request you to find out how big the area where TNB has been pegged on the ground. Does TNB has the right to cross title land?
