Land title missing and how to apply?

One of our customers in the process of doing sub-division and when we need to submit the original title to Land office, he claimed that the previuos land owner had been lost the land title. However, his name was in the search because the land transaction was done in Form 14A by the lawyer.

There is no much info regarding land title missing in English but I found a few articles in Malay which is very useful in this case. One of them is mindahartawan, he did mention what actions or steps need to take such as lodge police report. Another blogger whom worked in firm by the named of sitistrawberry, she put in more details.

1. Lodged police report and buy the copy
2. Do statutory declaration or Akuan Berkanun @ surat sumpah by commision of oaths
3. Payment to Land office or Register

Please bear in mind, we also need to attached with title lost form with the relevant payment. Melaka fee is RM240 at the moment.
